Here is exactly what happens to your data when you use Compera.
Compera asks for your occupation, location, and salary to calculate your Compera Score. That information is sensitive. Here is what we do with it, and what we don't.
Your salary is never linked to your identity.
When you calculate your Compera Score, your compensation data is stored anonymously using a session identifier, not your name, not your email, not any personally identifying information.
We do not sell your data. Ever.
Compera has no advertising model and no data brokerage relationships. Your information is never sold, shared with, or licensed to any third party for commercial purposes.
Anonymous data improves the score for everyone.
Compera uses anonymized, aggregated score data to improve the accuracy of our labor market analysis. No individual record is ever surfaced or exposed. Your data makes the product better, without ever becoming identifiable.
You can request deletion of your data at any time.
Send a deletion request to privacy@compera.io and we will remove your data within 30 days. Registered users can also delete their account and associated data directly from account settings.
Your data is encrypted and access-controlled.
All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Compera uses Supabase with row-level security policies that enforce access controls at the database level. No employee has casual access to individual user records.
We do not collect your name, employer, Social Security number, or any government-issued identification.
